Isn't there just too much for me to learn in order to make passive income online?

With technology constantly evolving at a rapid pace sometimes you just need to blink and you've missed some latest-greatest news about it.
Because it advances so quickly it seems easy to get left behind. If you decide to learn how to write your own web-page using some 'code', just as you are getting there a newer, faster, easier code can come along. Does this mean you have wasted your time? No! Luckily, it isn't enough for someone just to say "Hey! I have something better, everyone should switch to this now!".  Not only will any 'new kid on the block' need to be fully tested, it will need to be backwards compatible too. So you just carry on with what you are doing - it will still work for many years. In the meantime you've learned how to do something new, that's a great achievement!

There are two different types of people in the world, those that realise you need to start sooner rather than later and those that think they'll just wait for the perfect opportunity.

Those that wait for the perfect opportunity could get lucky, Will you KNOW and SEIZE upon the opportunity at the right time - or will you see it with hindsight and wish you had done something about it?

Those that start now will learn, develop, earn, and maybe even make it big. Even if you don't make it big just yet, the fact you are learning what you need to know and you are the type of person that will get on with the task, means you will seize the opportunity even if you weren't quite aware just how big it was ;)

In order to make passive income online you need to narrow your field that you want to be in. There are many ways to make money online: gambling, auction sites, advertising... and so on. But not all will earn passive income. Probably the most consistent for passive income is Internet Marketing, this too comes in different forms. Can the internet really help with passive income?

So you know that passive income is money generated for you whilst you aren't having to work for it.
If you have a 9-5 job that is what is known as 'earned income', but what you should focus on is making money that you don't have to work for.

You could say that money made online isn't really passive income as you have to set something up before you'll make any money this way. True, however you won't be making passive income from a savings account unless you take the time to set up an account in the first place. You could then make regular deposits into the account but if you are smart you would set this up to happen automatically (e.g. a direct debit. The bank knows to take money from your current account and put it into the savings account, you don't have to do anything).

There are many different ways to make money online. Many of which can be grouped under the umbrella 'internet marketing'. Some require a lot more work to set up than others, but can have greater rewards. Some require regular work, but if this work equates to twenty minutes a week and yet you are still able to earn money 24/7 then that has to be passive income?

There are other ways to make money online too, but often the competition is large corporations - how are you going to realistically compete with them?  A lot of people make money on auction sites too - but whilst you are struggling to get up to power-seller level, you'll probably be spending just about every minute on your computer trying to keep abreast of it all. That sounds like a lot of work... Remember we want to aim for passive income - money that comes in even if you aren't doing any work for it!

So you want to learn about passive income?

I did too! I did some research and it seemed like something everyone should know about and everyone should be trying to gear towards, what a shame so many people are unaware of passive income.
So what exactly is it? Well it is basically ways of making money, continually, without having to work for it.
"Yeah right, like I could ever do that?" Actually you could. Maybe you already do... There are different ways to make passive income, but probably the most obvious for 'anyone' is to have a savings account. You put money into the account and the bank pays you interest on that money at an agreed rate for an agreed term. The key here is you are not having to do any work. So if you go away on holiday you are still earning interest if you have funds in the account. Hey Presto! You have some passive income! Similarly, but with more risk attached, you may have stocks/shares that 'can' earn you passive income - but that is not guaranteed (remember the old voice-over "stocks may go up as well as down"?).
There are better ways to make passive income though than a savings account. The best way is online. By setting up methods of generating income online you can receive monthly income for a fairly small amount of work, once that work is done then the income is passive. Here's a very basic example: You set up a website that sells 'something'. People all over the world can access your site and choose to by your 'something'. It doesn't matter if you are in bed at the time, the whole process can be automated. It doesn't matter if you are at your computer or even awake! The customer can still get the product and you can still be paid.

That is the greatest form of passive income :)

Hopefully this has given you food for thought. Come back for updated posts on how to make money, legally, easily, passively.
